Trees Catching the Light. Acrylic on canvas. 

This piece was paintined in my studio near Carcassonne. It was inspired by a visit to a 'friend of a friend', who lives in a converted medieval keep in Saint Quentin, near Mirepoix. The keep is surrounded by woodland. It was a sunny day and the trees were catching the light as we made our way up the bumpy track which leads to the Keep.
